The Avocado Society of Kenya (ASOK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Chen Liwen (Brandon) as the Society’s Special Envoy for the Promotion and Marketing of Kenyan Avocados in People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Chen is a distinguished China – Africa trade and investment specialist with extensive experience in international business development, investment promotion, industrial cooperation, and cross-border partnerships between China and Africa. Through his strong networks with government institutions, business associations, and the private sector, he has made significant contributions to strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
In his new role, Dr. Chen will lead efforts to promote Kenyan avocados and avocado value-added products in China , facilitate strategic partnerships with importers, distributors and investors, and strengthen commercial and investment linkages between Kenya and China.
As part of this initiative, the Avocado Society of Kenya will establish a Kenya Avocado Marketing Office in Hunan to serve as a gateway for promoting Kenyan fresh avocados, avocado oil, frozen avocado, avocado puree, guacamole, cosmetics and other avocado-based products. The office will also support business matching, market intelligence, investment promotion and buyer–seller linkages.
This appointment marks another important milestone in ASOK’s commitment to expanding market access for Kenyan avocados, creating new opportunities for farmers, exporters and processors, while strengthening the long-standing economic partnership between Kenya and the People’s Republic of China.
