The Avocado Society of Kenya is a membership association bringing together growers, exporters and players across the avocado value chain. We work to improve production efficiency and promote well-organized marketing systems that support the long-term growth and profitability of Kenya’s avocado industry.
We take part in and host a wide range of events at local, national, and international levels, including farmers field days, trade fairs, and specialized industry forums. As members of the World Avocado Congress, we maintain strong partnerships all major avocado-growing and exporting countries.
Our work includes conducting continuous capacity building on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for members across all avocado-producing regions. We provide avocado-growing suitability assessments, connect exporters with global buyers, and support compliance with international food safety and social standards. We also collaborate on training and pre-certification audits to help our members meet market requirements. We lobby for good policies and regulations that guarantee the sustainability and profitability of the sector.
